Hurley’s Irish Pub Fundraiser

17 Short School dancers have qualified to represent Montreal, Quebec and Eastern Canada at the upcoming World Championships in Belfast from 1-8 April 2012.

Help send the dancers off in style by supporting our Pub Fundraiser.

When: Sunday, 11 March 2012, from 3pm to 7pm
Where: Hurley’s Irish Pub, 1225 Crescent St.

Aleksi Campagne is one of our champion dancers and is also a fiddler from a family of professional musicians. The whole gang will be performing: Mom, Canadian folk singer Connie Kaldor; Dad, Paul Campagne (from Quebec group Hart Rouge); brother Gabriel; Bill Gossage, Connie’s Bass player; Étienne Choinière-Shields on the bodhrán; plus a few surprise guests to add to the mix. It is going to be lots of fun!

The World qualifying dancers will, of course, also be giving a performance.

So practice “Whiskey, You’re the Devil,” “Dirty Old Town” and the chorus to “Galway Girl.” It’s your chance to enjoy great Irish music, soak up some real Irish beer and applaud our fabulous dancers!

As this is a private venue, it’s open to all ages (Families welcome). Here’s your chance to get into the St. Patrick’s spirit in one of Montreal’s great Irish pubs.

Each $25 ticket includes one free drink and food courtesy of kind-hearted Bill Hurley. Every dime goes to the dancers. Places are limited, so don’t wait!

Know someone who likes a Guinness and a good Irish jig? Invite all your fun-loving friends to purchase a ticket directly from one of the World Championship dancers.

Call 450-465-4871 or 514-748-8641 to reserve a ticket.

See you there!
